Appraisal was the first company to develop and implement in Brazil a bar code computerized system that allows for an accurate management of all fixed assets of a company. Each fixed asset is coded and identified by a bar code plate, thus allowing for a better control and inventory of assets, as well as minimization of errors. This enables the company to get accurate information on a given asset, such as: its cost, accumulated depreciation and location.

Once the system is implemented, Appraisal can manage the system, if the company so desires. Appraisal can render the following services: monitoring of write-off and additions, depreciation, monthly consolidated reports and training of end-users of the system.

An accurate control of fixed assets, including regular physical and accounting reconciliation, is an essential requirement for a company to qualify for the ISO 9000 award.
